Donald P. Gosselin, 85, a lifelong resident of Manchester, NH, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on September 18, 2023. He was born on December 9, 1937 to the late Joseph & Mary Gosselin. Donald would go on to become a beloved husband, married to the love of his life Violette for 45 years, with whom he shared a lifetime of love and friendship.
Donald was raised and educated in Manchester, NH and served briefly in the Army National Guard before working as a machinist for Sylvania for over 30 years. Throughout his life, Donald was a devout Catholic parishioner who secured comfort and guidance through his faith in God. He attended Mass regularly at Ste. Marie’s until he became too weak to attend, but always kept his faith in God in his heart.
Donald will be remembered for his unwavering faith and dedication to his family. He was a pillar of strength and a source of inspiration to all who knew him. His kindness, generosity, and warm smile touched the lives of many. He was a proud member of the Lion’s club for many years, and he took immense pride in serving the community that raised him. In his free time, Donald loved to travel and exercise.
Donald has joined his wife Violette and his two daughters Robin Lindbloom and Lisa Furgal in heaven. He is survived by his two sons Robert & Richard Gosselin as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Calling hours for Donald will be held on Monday, September 25th from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Phaneuf Funeral Homes, 243 Hanover St. Manchester, NH. A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, September 26th at 10 AM at Ste. Marie’s Church in Manchester, after which his burial will take place at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
