Donald Edward Scarlett

Donald Edward Scarlett, 79, died on August 4, 2021 at Frisbie Memorial Hospital. Born in Manchester, NH on February 22, 1942, he was a son of the late Edward and Lillian (Levesque) Scarlett. He shared 46 years of marriage with his wife, Barbara (Langevin) Scarlett.

Donald was raised in Manchester, and as a young man served in the United States Army. Don loved cars and had a long career as a mechanic, most notably at Volkswagen and later with the NH Department of Safety for over 20 years. Don will be remembered for his sense of humor and willingness to help.

Donald is survived by his wife, Barbara Scarlett of Epsom; his children, Jeffrey Scarlett of Manchester, Daniel Scarlett and wife Jessica of Sandown, Michael Scarlett of Epsom, and Julie Scarlett of Epsom; his grandchildren and great grandchild; his siblings, Robert Scarlett and wife Irene of Goffstown, Susan Brodeur and husband Paul of Arizona, and Leon Scarlett and wife Paulette of Epsom; as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Donald’s visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 11th from 10am-12pm at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street, Manchester. Burial will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Manchester.
