Donald E. Snow, 91, of Bedford, NH died on Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at the Bowman Place, in Bedford, NH.
Mr. Snow was born on June 8, 1933, in Boston, MA, the son of the late Percy and Susanna (Bowering) Snow.
He was a veteran and served in the United States Army during the Korean War. After his return, he attended Northeastern University at night and graduated with his Bachelor of Science degree in engineering.
Prior to his retirement, Mr. Snow was employed for 41 years at Raytheon, where we worked as an engineer.
He enjoyed fishing, playing golf, and working on cars. Mr. Snow was an excellent handyman and finished his home basement in Marlboro and completely refinished his lake house home in Maine. During his retirement years in Maine, he and his wife enjoyed all the state had to offer and he was regularly active with the Maine VFW.
Members of his family include; his wife of 66 years, Elizabeth “Jean” (Williamson) Snow, of Bedford, NH; two sons, Brian Snow, and his wife, Jackie of Manchester, NH; Kevin Snow and his wife, Amy, of Jaffrey, NH; three grandchildren, Carsten Snow-Eikelberg and her husband, Ashly of Weymouth, MA; Gregory Snow, of Fitzwilliam, NH; Jonathan Snow, of Newmarket, NH; two great granddaughters, Kensley Eikelberg and Ingrid Eikelberg of Weymouth, several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Snow was predeceased by his brother, Leslie Snow, his sister, Phyllis McCarter and by his daughter-in-law, Susan Snow.
SERVICES: There are no calling hours. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2024, 11:00 a.m. at the Forsyth Chapel, 95 Forest Hills Ave, Jamaica Plain (Boston), MA 02130. A graveside service with military honors, will follow at 12:00 p.m. at Forest Hills Cemetery, Jamaica Plain, MA.
Memorial donations may be made to the VFW (vfwportland.org), in memory of Mr. Snow.
