Donna Joyce Steinbacher, 77, of Concord passed away peacefully Friday June 30, 2017. She was surrounded by the love of her family.
Donna was born in Williamsport, PA December 29, 1939 to Donald J. and B. Yvonne (Park) Nead. She worked as an inspector with Osram Sylvania until retiring after more than 30 years of service. She moved to New Hampshire in 1985 where she remained a resident of the Concord area for the past 32 years. A strong, loving, protective matriarch; Donna dedicated her life to her family. She was completely devoted to her children, both the two-legged ones and the four-legged ones, Bixbee and Sofie, and found endless joy in the company of her beautiful grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Donna is survived by her son, Mike Steinbacher and wife, Kim; and daughters, Ginger Steinbacher and partner, Roger Gagne, and Candi Franquet. Her children share some loving thoughts of their mother, "Mom, My First Best Friend; Unconditional love - Hugs that penetrate to the heart and make it all better; Always feel safe and protected and loved in your arms." Donna is also survived by four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and her siblings, Donald Nead, Beverly Mong, and Ed Nead and wife, Cheryl. Her brothers and sister also have words to share of their beloved sister, "Sis, Really, truly selfless; Very loving, extremely caring; Always there." In addition to her parents, Donna was predeceased by her infant son, Emerson, and great-granddaughter, Lauren.
The family will receive visitors Friday, July 7th 10:00-11:00am at Phaneuf Funeral Home, 172 King Street in Boscawen. Funeral service will begin at 11:00am in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow immediately at Blossom Hill Cemetery, 207 N. State Street in Concord. Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium is assisting the family with arrangements.
