DORA D. DWYER
MANCHESTER â Dora D. (Watkins) Dwyer, 66, died comfortably at her home, on Friday, September 9, 2011, after a courageous battle with lung cancer.
Born in Merrimack, NH, on April 13, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Maurice and Hilda Watkins. She grew up in Merrimack and attended Merrimack High School.
Mrs. Dwyer was employed at Elliot Hospital, where she was a unit secretary for 15 years.
She enjoyed working around her home and tending to her vegetable and flower gardens.
Family members include; her husband of 10 years, Michael Dwyer of Manchester; three sons, Peter Levesque, of Antrim, NH; David Trench, of Alton, NH; Edward Trench, of Merrimack, NH; two daughters, Robin Levesque and April (Trench) Paris, both of New Boston, NH; 6 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, two step daughters, Carolyn Dwyer, of Manchester; Tammy Drusendahl, of Derry, NH; 3 step granddaughters, 1 great step grandson, and 1 great step granddaughter. Mrs. Dwyer was predeceased by her grandson, Anthony Levesque, who died in 2005.
SERVICES: Calling hours will be held on Monday, September 12, from 2 to 4 p.m., and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Phaneuf Funeral Home, 243 Hanover Street, corner of Union Street, in Manchester. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, 11 a.m., in the funeral home chapel. The Reverend Barbara A. Brawley, chaplain with the Elliot Hospital will officiate the service.
