Doris M. Allard

Doris (Dupont) Allard, 78, formerly of 171 Holly Avenue and currently of 179 Hitching Post Road, Bedford, died March 23, 2001 at Catholic Medical Center. She was born in Manchester on January 21, 1923, the daughter of the late Theophile and Albina (Rivard) Dupont and had been a lifelong resident of the City. She has worked at New England Telephone for 38 years and was a member of the New England Telephone Pioneers. She was a long-time parishioner of St. Anthony Church and a member of St. Anne's Sodality of St. Anthony. She was the widow of George Allard who died in 1994. Family members include two sisters, Irene Perris and Rita Toporowski, both of Manchester; and nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces and cousins. Calling hours are at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover St., on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday morning at 10:00 in St. Anthony Church. Entombment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery mausoleum.
