DORIS IRENE BERRY

FRANCONIA, NH  Doris I. Berry, 73, formerly of Littleton, passed away on March 31, 2005 at the Lafayette Health Care Center in Franconia, NH.

Doris was born a daughter to Frederick L. and Eda (Hood) Fisher on May 11, 1931 in Dalton, NH. She attended area schools.

Doris was employed by Henschel Shoe Company as well as Connors and Hoffman Footwear for many years. She was a member of the V.F.W. Howard Shawney Post #816 Ladies Auxiliary, The Fraternal Order of Eagles, and The American Legion in Groveton, NH. Doris enjoyed crocheting, doing crossword puzzles, and playing the piano.

Surviving family members include two sons, Donald Johnson of Bethlehem, NH, and Howard Johnson of Whitefield, NH; one daughter, Linda Johnson of Bristol, CT; three sisters, Helen Houston of NC, Margaret Flayhan of Dover, NH, and Shirley Gorham of East Burke, VT; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Her husband, John W. Berry predeceased her on December 30, 1996, as well as one sister.

SERVICES  The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 3rd from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m. at the Pillsbury Funeral Home, 101 Union Street, Littleton, NH. Funeral services will be held at the Funeral Home on Monday, April 4th at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Lyn McIntosh officiating. Burial will be on Wednesday, March 6th at 1:00 p.m. at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Augusta, Maine.
