Doris M. Corbett

Doris Marie Corbett, 80, of West Stewartstown, NH passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 10, 2018, surrounded by loved ones, after a long, courageous battle with cancer.
She was born on January 30, 1938, in Lawrence, MA, daughter of the late Eldege and Jeannette (Girard) St. Pierre. Doris was also predeceased by sister, Claire St. Pierre of Lawrence, MA, brother, Robert and Joyce (Kucharewicz) St. Pierre of Lecanto, FL, and daughter-in-law, Judi Corbett of Manchester, NH.
Doris spent her summers where she loved it the most, in West Stewartstown, NH, and wintered in Spring Hill, FL. She loved most being with her family, friends, and the tranquility, solitude and serenity of her summer home. Doris also enjoyed peaceful walks with her dogs, observing nature's beauty, camping, reading, and crossword puzzles. Some of her many achievements were earning her solo pilot license and, at the age 78, her first motorcycle ride, thanks to her dearest friend Lorraine Anderson. Doris was a retiree from Sanders Associates in Nashua, NH.
She is survived by her four sons, Gary and Kirsten Rundquist Corbett of Raymond, NH, Brien Corbett of Bedford, NH, Alan Corbett and Susan Roberts of Manchester, NH, and David and Barbara Corbett of Lawrence, MA, her husband of nearly 60 years, Charles Paul Corbett of Spring Hill, FL, grandchildren, Kendralee and Spencer Corbett of Manchester, NH, nephew, Mark and Sandra (Watson) St. Pierre of Lancaster, NH, and "son from another mother," William (Bill) Payment of Bedford, NH.
SERVICES: A Memorial Gathering will be held on Wednesday, July 25, 2018, from 5:00 – 8:00 PM at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street, in Manchester. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the New Hampshire Audubon Society.
