Doris Giroux

Doris (Dionne) Giroux, 85, formerly of Manchester, passed away May 23, 2010 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Brockton, MA. She was born in Manchester on March 12, 1925, the daughter of the late Arthur and Rubinia (Brinn) Dionne and had lived most of her life in the area before moving to Randolph, MA 21 years ago. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, baking and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Howard Giroux in 1986 by two daughters, Gail Aspinall and Theresa Jean and by a son, Howard "Butchy" Giroux. Family members include a daughter, Terry (Suzanne) Bourcy of FL; 12 grandchildren and many great grandchildren; a sister, Helen Cox of Manchester and nephews, nieces and cousins. Calling hours will be at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium on Thursday morning from 8:30 to 10:30 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday morning at 11:00 in the chapel at St. Joseph Cathedral. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
