Doris M. Lavoie, born on June 12, 1930, passed away peacefully in her sleep at home on June 25, 2025. She lived a life full of love and devotion, grounded in her deep Catholic faith, which provided her strength and comfort throughout her years.
Doris was born in Manchester, NH, graduated from West High School and spent her life in the greater Manchester area. She was cherished by everyone who had the pleasure of meeting her, known for her incredibly kind and loving nature.
Family was everything to Doris. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, who brought immense joy to her life. She shared a loving marriage of over 60 years with her husband, Donald Lavoie, who has since passed away. Together, they were not only partners but best friends, sharing countless memories, including travels to the islands and their place in Kennebunk.
Doris is survived by her daughter, Brenda Brown and her husband James; her son, Scott Lavoie; her sister, Louise Pelletier; her grandchildren, Jeffrey (Kristen) Brown and Stacy Ferland (Keith); her great-granddaughter, Ryleigh; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Calling Hours for Doris will take place on Wednesday, July 2, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Phaneuf Funeral Homes - 243 Hanover St. in Manchester, NH. A Mass will be celebrated in her memory on Thursday, July 3, at 10:00 AM at St. Elizabeth Seton Church in Bedford, NH, followed by her burial at Mount Calvary Cemetery in Manchester at 11:00 AM.
