Doris M. Naeck

Doris M. Naeck, 90, of Manchester, passed away on March 23, 2023. She is the daughter of Fred and Dora (Fischer) Naeck. Doris was born on October 29, 1932 in Manchester. She attended West High School and is a graduate of Mary Fletcher Hospital School of Nursing and Hunter College. She spent time during her nursing career in New York City and St. Petersburg, Florida and eventually retired as the Nursing Supervisor at the Elliot Hospital in Manchester after 36 years.

Doris had a great passion for skiing, fueling her love for traveling domestically and internationally. She loved photography and had some of her photos displayed in the Currier Museum of Art in Manchester.  She was active in the Bedford Senior Citizens Group, The Salvation Army Women's Auxiliary, and was a member of the YWCA and YMCA for over 50 years.

Doris is survived by her three nephews, Brian Naeck, Darren Naeck, and Steven Naeck, great nieces and nephews, and cousins.  She is predeceased by her parents, Fred and Dora, and brothers, Frederick Naeck and Werner Naeck.
Her family would like to thank Brookhaven Hospice for their attention and care to Doris in her final days.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, March 31, at 1 pm in Pine Grove Cemetery in Manchester.  Family and friends are kindly invited to attend.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Doris' memory may be made to The Animal Rescue League of NH, 545 Route 101, Bedford, NH 03110.
