Doris M. Sherlock, 84, died February 23, 2001, while residing at Hanover Hill Health Care, Manchester, NH. Mrs. Sherlock was born May 3, 1916, in Southbridge, Massachusetts, the daughter of George and Lena (Rolland) Labelle. She was raised in Beacon Falls, Connecticut and was one of five children. She lived for many years in Waterbury and Prospect, Connecticut. She was elected to the Connecticut House of Representatives, where she represented the town of Prospect. Doris continued to serve the State in other political capacities until she retired in 1971. She spent most of her retirement years living in the Spanish Lakes Community, in Port St. Lucie, Florida. She was a member of the Catholic Church, Port St. Lucie Parish. Survivors include three daughters, Penny Sherlock of Londonderry, NH, Janice Barger of Spring Hill, Florida and Doris Schmoock of Derry, NH, a grandson Christopher Peach, wife Kimberly and three great grandchildren, Joseph, Michael and Andrea Peach of Hudson, NH, several nieces and nephews. SERVICES: There will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday morning at 11 o'clock in St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 27 Library Street, Hudson, NH. Burial will follow in St. Augustin Cemetery, Manchester, NH. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Chapter Resouces, 10 Ferry Street # 419, Concord, NH 03301. The Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium, is in charge of arrangements.
