Doris R. Soucy

Doris R. (Duchesne) Soucy, 78, of Deerfield, passed away on October 23, 2013 at Concord Hospital.

She was born in Manchester on February 28, 1935, the daughter of Joseph and Juliette (St. Gelais) Duchesne. For many years she ran the office for her husband at Soucy's Heating. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and loved to play bingo and make puzzles. She was the widow of Robert Soucy who died in 2001.

Family members include two sons, Kirk Soucy and his wife Rose of Manchester, and Keith Soucy and his wife Janice of Chelmsford, MA; a daughter, Kristine Morgan and her husband Timothy of Deerfield; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren; a brother Robert Duchesne of CA; two sisters, Lucille Lafond and Violet Deziel, both of Manchester; and nephews, nieces and cousins.

A memorial gathering will take place on Sunday from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 250 Coolidge Ave, Manchester, with a memorial service to follow in the funeral home at 3:00 PM. Internment will take place at the convenience of the family at the NH State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
