Dorothy May (Hartford) Akers, 60, of Manchester, died September 16, 2003, at the Hillsborough County Nursing Home. She was born in Manchester, NH on December 10, 1942, the daughter of the late Warren and Lillian (Thibodeau) Hartford, Sr., and had been a lifelong resident of the Queen City. She was a US Army Veteran, belonged to the Daughters of Isabella, and worked 25 years for Velcro USA until her illness in 2002. Dorothy enjoyed taking walks. Family members include a daughter, Nicole Rouillard of Manchester, a brother, Warren Hartford, Jr. , of Manchester, a sister Cora Hudon of Weare, a step sister, Sharon Hartford of Manchester, her close companion of 30 years, Marcel Rouillard of Manchester., several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. SERVICES: Relatives and friends are welcomed to a memorial gathering for Mrs. Akers at the Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium Chapel, 243 Hanover Street, on Thursday afternoon at 1 o'clock with the service immediately following at 2 o'clock. Urnment will be in Mount Calvary Mausoleum.
