Dorothy M. Brett

Dorothy M. Brett, 98, of Candia, NH, passed away peacefully on May 17, 2021, at Warde Health Center in Windham, NH. She was born in New York, NY on June 22, 1922, to the late Charles and Anna (Nyulasi) Meyer. She is the beloved wife of the late Raymond G. Brett with whom she spent 60 years of marriage.

Dorothy loved to cook! She worked at Seaford Schools as the head of the lunch program for many years before her retirement. Some of her favorite pastimes, besides spending time with her children and grandchildren, were to read and play cards. She especially loved her James Patterson mysteries and playing 45's and Hand and Foot.

Dorothy is survived by her three children; William Brett of Nassau, NY, Barbara Mack and her husband Donald of Candia, and Doug Brett and his wife Ellen of Commack, NY, her ten grandchildren; Sandi, Sara, Brian, Brett, Bethany, Adam, Andrew, Beth, Matthew, and Kyle, four great-grandchildren; Avery, Annabelle, Grace, and City; and many nieces and nephews. The eldest of her siblings, Dorothy is predeceased by brothers Walter and James Meyer.

Services: A visitation will be on Tuesday, May 25th from 3-6pm at the Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street in Manchester. Dorothy's funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, May 26th at 11am at St. Joseph Church, 200 Pleasant Street in Epping, NH. Kindly meet at the church. Interment will follow at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen.
