Dorothy M. (Boivin) Converse, 87, formerly of 9 Caron Road, Bedford, NH died July 21, 2001, at Harborside Health Care, Bedford, after a long illness. She was born in Canada on July 26, 1913, the daughter of the late Charles and Annie (Desrocher) Vezina and had been a resident of this area for most of her life. Dorothy worked several years for Dorson Fleisher and was a parishioner of St. Elizabeth Seton Church. She was an avid gardener, loved cooking, crocheting and tending to her family. She was a member of The Weare Grange and was the widow of Reginald Boivin who died in 1971 and also the widow of her second husband Charles Converse who died in 1981. Family members include two daughters, Frances Cross of Lyndonville, Vermont and Yvette Vachon of Bedford, her predeceased daughter Dorothy Williams who died in 2000, several grandchildren, several great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. SERVICES: Calling hours are at the Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street, Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock in St. Elizabeth Seton Church, Bedford. Burial will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Manchester.
