Douglas ''Doog'' F. Gray, 70, of Hooksett, died at Catholic Medical Center on September 1, 2002 after a long illness. He was predeceased by his parents, Lester and Josephine Gray of Harwich, Ma. He grew up in Harwich, attended Harwich High School and worked locally for the Highway Department, Water Department and the Post Office for many years. In March 17, 1964, he married his second wife, Eleanor (Boyce) and relocated to New Hampshire; first to Littleton and then to Manchester where he lived for many years. Before retiring, he worked for Velcro, USA for 30 years. Doug loved fishing, hunting and sports of any kind. His greatest joy in life was his family and close circle of friends. He leaves his beloved wife, Eleanor (Boyce), a sister, Shirley of S. Yarmouth, MA; a son, Robert Gray of Centerville, Ma; a daughter, Jeannie of S. Dennis, Ma; (his oldest daughter, Debbie of Ossipee predeceased her father in 1982); five grandchildren, Kenny, Shawn, Zachary, Jeraime and Chad all of Cape Cod; his cousin Marilyn of Manchester, an adopted niece, Christina Proulx of Manchester and many cousins, nieces and nephews. In addition to his family, he leaves a very beloved circle of friends; Bob and Shirley Raymond of Concord; Michelle and Ted Fortuna of Manchester; Joyce and Charlie Baillee of Taunton, MA and Rich and Carla Proulx of Manchester with whom he shared decades of great adventures. SERVICES: There will be a viewing at the Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium Chapel, 243 Hanover Street,corner of Union Street, on Thursday evening from 7 to 9 with the funeral service at 8:30 Thursday evening in the funeral home chapel. A small ceremony on Cape Cod after cremation will be held at a later date.
