OBITUARY NOTICE EARL R. HOGAN JR. HOOKSETT – Earl Hogan, 79, died December 8, 2009, peacefully in his home after a long illness. He was born in Boston, MA on September 19, 1930, the son of the late Earl and Muriel (Vail) Hogan, Sr. He was a United States Marine decorated with the Korean Service Medal with one star, the United Nations Service Medal and a Purple Heart with Gold Star WIA Korea; 21May52 and 7Jul52. He returned to a management position at Gillette Company in South Boston. Married to Mary and lived for many years in Medford and later Brockton. He retired and founded Bedford Print and Copy in Bedford N.H. IN HIS LIFE: He and Mary chose the single family house with a one car garage on DW Highway for its location, and the garage. Even with his war wound that crippled one arm, he swept out the old garage and started Bedford print and copy from scratch, he and Mary paying cash to add capability and additional services. He and Mary continued growing the business until health reasons forced them to stop. They achieved the great American legacy. He loved his grandchildren, spending many years waiting on the bus and entertaining them in his home. SERVICES: There are no calling hours. Military honors will be held on Monday, December 14, 10 AM at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, 110 D.W. Highway, in Boscawen.
