WHITEFIELD, NH Earl Sam Woods, age 75, passed away on December 15, 2007 at Weeks Medical Center in Lancaster, NH.
Sam was born a son to James and Marion (Woodward) Woods on September 12, 1932, in Franklin, NH.
Sam served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He managed the W.E. Aubuchon Hardware Store for many years prior to owning and operating the Lisbon Hardware Store. He was an active member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, The Elks Club, and The American Legion.
He is survived by his sons, James Woods of Asheville, NC, and Michael Woods and his wife, Rena of Lyman, NH; three grandsons, Michael Woods and Matthew Woods of Lyman, NH, and Raymond Woods, of Asheville, NC; and his companion, Dorothy Strout of Whitefield, NH and her family. His wife, Molly (Glover) Woods predeceased him in 1989.
SERVICES A Celebration of Life and gathering will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2008 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Eagles Club, 793 Main Street, Bethlehem, NH.
