EDGAR L. SOUCY Edgar L. Soucy, 67, of Manchester, NH, died Saturday, February 28, 2009, at Elliot Hospital in Manchester. Mr. Soucy was born on March 3, 1941, in Manchester, the son of the late Edouard and Georgette (Dallaire) Soucy. He was a life long resident of Manchester. At the time of his employment, Mr. Soucy was employed by the Local 17 Union, where he was a sheet metal mechanic. He was a veteran, having served in the United States Coast Guard. Mr. Soucy was an avid motorcyclist and enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. He also enjoyed fishing and playing pool at the Mt. Royal Club. Members of his family include, his wife, Janet (Rondeau) Soucy, of Manchester; 1 son, Jody Soucy of Goffstown, NH; 2 daughters, Michelle Soucy and Robyn Soucy, both of Manchester; 2 brothers, Laurent Soucy, of Antrim, NH; Richard Soucy, of New Boston, NH; 2 sisters, Jacqueline Gage, of Maryland; Denise Breton, of Hudson, NH; many nieces and nephews. IN HIS LIFE: In addition, other family members include; pepere's little buddy, Braxton. Mr. Soucy was predeceased by his two brothers, Ronald and Eugene Soucy. Calling hours will be Thursday, March 5, from 4 – 8 P.M. at the Phaneuf Funeral Home, 243 Hanover Street, corner of Union Street, in Manchester. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, 1 P.M. at St. Pius X Church, 575 Candia Road, in Manchester. It has been suggested that those who wish may make memorial gifts to The American Cancer Society, 2 Commerce Drive, #110, Bedford, NH 03110, or to Breathe NH, 9 Cedarwood Drive, Unit #12, Bedford, NH 03110, in memory of Mr. Soucy.
