EDITH (HADLEY) EMERY

FRANCONIA, NH  Edith (Hadley) Emery, age 88, passed away on Wednesday, October 5, 2005, at the Lafayette Center in Franconia with her dedicated caregivers by her side.

Edith was born on September 17, 1917, a daughter to George H. and Mary Ann (Sturgess) Hadley in Barnet, VT.

Edith resided in the Woodstock/Lincoln area for many years. She was very active in the Pemi Valley Church in the Choir and was a member of the Ladies Aide. She will be remembered for her visits, prayers and notes to the sick people and nursing home residents. She always gave of herself to anyone in need.

Edith is survived by a brother, Lewis Hadley of Bristol, CT, and a son, Floyd Emery and his wife, Nancy of Savanna, IL; a daughter, Barbara Stevens and her husband, Dean of Colebrook, NH; thirteen grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Her husband of 40 years, Lincoln Emery, two sons, Arthur and Howard Emery, one brother, Prince Hadley, one sister, Nellie (Hadley) Crapeault, and one daughter-in-law, Alice Emery, predeceased her.

SERVICES  A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, October 10, 2005 in the Woodstock Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Ernest Wilkins officiating.
