Edith âEdieâ B. Kidder, 75, of Hooksett, passed away Tuesday, August 16th surrounded by her loving family.
Edie was born in Newport on August 18, 1935, the daughter of the late Clayton R. and Mildred S. (Scranton) Buswell. She was raised in Claremont and graduated from Stevens High School in Claremont. After high school she attended beauty school and had a career as a hairdresser for a short time before starting her family. Edie and her family moved to Hooksett in the late 1960s where she and her husband resided for the next 43 years.
Edie was a home maker and loving mother of three. She enjoyed crocheting and reading romance novels. She was an avid NASCAR fan and she loved Elvis, but her greatest joy in life was time spent with her family.
Edie was predeceased by her husband of nearly 50 years; Roger S. Kidder Sr. She is survived by: her daughter Dodie Kidder and her husband Phillip Wight of Pembroke and their children Jesse Roberge, Jayme Roberge, and Paris Wight; her son Roger S. âSatchâ Kidder Jr. of Hooksett; daughter Heather and her husband Greg Proulx of Manchester and their daughter Abbie; sisters Nancy DeCoteau of Claremont and Helene Norman of North Charlestown; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial gathering will be held from 10:00am until noon on Saturday, August 20th at Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street in Manchester. A private graveside committal service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations in Edieâs memory be made to the charity of oneâs choice.
