Mr. Edouard G. LaForce, 70, of Manchester, NH died Saturday January 19, 2008 at the Catholic Medical Center in Manchester following a period of declining health. He was born on June 23, 1937 in Berlin, NH, the son of Marie (Montminy) LaForce of Manchester and the late Attorney F. Maurice LaForce. He moved with his family from Berlin to Manchester as a child. He was educated at St. George Grammar School in Manchester and graduated from St. Anthony High School in Manchester. He was a resident of Manchester for most of his life. Mr. LaForce worked for the City of Manchester in the Parking Meter Department for twenty years before he retired. He was a communicant of St. Marie Church. Mr. LaForce was a lifelong member of the Alpine Club and was an avid Patriots fan. For the past couple of years he was a client at Easter Seals, where he made many friends and enjoyed going. Besides his mother, he is survived by his wife of 50 years, Irene (Blanchette) LaForce of Manchester; 3 sons, David E LaForce of Manchester, Daniel P. LaForce of Manchester and Dennis M. LaForce of Manchester; 3 brothers, Attorney Pierre J. LaForce of Washington DC; Marc LaForce of Gex, France and Louis LaForce of Goffstown; 2 sisters, Lise Tanner of Ballwin, Missouri and Michelle Huffman of Henniker and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In His life: He is also survived by his two sisters in-law, Nancy LaForce of Gex, France and Ann LaForce of Goffstown and his brother in-law, Eugene Huffman of Henniker. His Calling Hour will be at the Phaneuf Funeral Home, 243 Hanover St, Manchester on Wednesday from 10:00 to 11:00AM with his funeral service to follow in the funeral home at 11:00AM. Interment will be private.
