Edward Ryan Donohue, 55, of 878 Clay Street, died August 17, 2004 at the Elliot Hospital. He was born in Baltimore, MD on December 3, 1948, the son of Robert William and Barbara Ann (Baker) Donohue and had been a Manchester resident since 1959. He graduated from Central High School in 1966, and later attended El Camino College in California. Ed worked for the New England Telephone Company as an equipment installation technician from 1969 to 1987. He is remembered fondly by those who understood him for his brute honesty, acts of kindness, and sense of humor. Ed, who always made it clear he never felt like he belonged on this earth, has now gone to a safer, happier place free from the challenges of this life. Family members include one daughter, Jessica London Klemz of Shelby Township, Michigan three grandchildren, Reilly, Katie and Sam; a sister, Jane Ann Murchie of Weare; a brother James Bradley Donohue of Littleton, CO; and aunts uncles, nephews, nieces and cousins Calling hours will be at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street on Saturday from 4 to 6 PM. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday evening at 8:00 PM. Interment will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum.
