Edward A. Gamache, Sr., 84, passed away on July 14, 2023. Born in Manchester, NH, he was the son of Arthur and Fabiola (Messier) Gamache. He resided in Goffstown, NH for most of his life and summered in Wells, ME for 10 years.
Mr. Gamache worked for Riverdale Sand and Gravel and TNT excavating. He was a member of St. Lawrence Church in Goffstown, NH.
Family members include his beloved wife of 58 years, Barbara E. Gamache (predeceased); three sons, Edward A. Gamache, Jr. and his wife, Tammy of Goffstown, Peter N. Gamache and his wife, Lynn of Weare, and Lawrence G. Gamache of Manchester; two daughters, Donna M. Hallee of Manchester, and Tammy L. Huckins and her husband, Jeff of Belmont; Five brothers, Lucien Gamache (predeceased), Robert Gamache (predeceased), Reynold Gamache of Goffstown, Arthur Gamache (predeceased), and George Gamache of Maine, and six sisters, Yvette Sarette (predeceased), Bertha Kennedy (predeceased), Rita Chadwick and Helen Rivet both of Bow, Theresa Rivet of Pittsfield and Lillian Desrochers (predeceased).
The joy of his life was spending time with his grandchildren, Bobby Gamache and his wife, Tiffeny of Hooksett, Michael and his wife Tia, Jeffery Gamache of Goffstown, Tim Hallee and his companion, Sabrina Milliard, Brian Hallee and his wife, Tabetha of Manchester, Tyler Gamache and his wife Grace, Troy, Noah, and Molly Gamache of Weare, Nicole Diamond and her companion, Robert of Goffstown, Melissa Antonis and her husband, Mike of Florida, and Samantha McDonough and her husband, Patrick of Hillsboro. He also leaves behind many great grandchildren whom he loved dearly, several nieces, nephews, and cousins, as well as special people in his life including Lynn Strong and family.
SERVICES: Services will be held on Monday, July 24 from 4 to 8 PM at Phaneuf Funeral Homes at 250 Coolidge Avenue in Manchester. A small service will be held at the funeral parlor. In lieu of flowers, please donate in memory of Edward to the Parkinsons Foundation (Link below).
