Edward J. Labarre, 70, of Goffstown, died suddenly August 25, 2005 at Catholic Medical Center. He was born in Manchester on February 28, 1935, the son of the late Hodore and Glarvina (Thouin) Labarre and had been a lifelong resident of the Manchester and Goffstown Communities. He worked for Genest Bakery for 24 years and Summit Packing fro 17 years. Edward was an usher and a greeter at the Parish of Transfiguration, formerly St. Jean Baptist Church, for 20 years. He belonged to the Knights of Columbus Council 5163. He served in the National Guard. Mr. Labarre was an avid crossword puzzle solver and enjoyed reading and cooking. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed watching all New England Sports. Family members include his wife of 46 years, Therese (Harrington) Labarre of Goffstown, four daughters;Mrs John(Diane) Sullivan of Goffstown, Mrs.Jeffrey (Cheryl) Moreau of Bedford, Mrs.Frank (Karen) Ferrandino of Bedford and Mrs.Peter (Michelle) Simoneau of Goffstown, five grandchildren, a brother, Andrew Labarre of Estill Springs, Tennessee, a sister, Claire Chouinard of Manchester, several nieces, nephews and cousins. IN HIS LIFE: He loved his five grandchildren; Sarah, Bethany, Kayla, Nathan and Drew, his close Aunt Yvonne Thouin and Laurette Hooper and Alice Labarre all of Manchester. SERVICES: Relatives and friends are welcomed to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday morning at 10 OClock in the Parish of Transfiguration. Inurnment will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
