Edward “Eddie” W. Smith, 15, of Manchester died April 25, 2005 at Cheshire Medical Center in Keene from complications due to pneumonia. Eddie was born on December 15, 1989 in Nashua the son of Jeffrey G. Smith and Joanne Stratoti. He had been a resident of Cedarcrest Home & School in Keene for the past 13 years. Eddie will be remembered as a happy young man. He enjoyed life and playing pranks on his friends at Cedarcrest. He participated in a variety of sports particularly, basketball and bowling. He listened to country music and collected baseball cards. Eddie was also a former Boy Scout in Keene. He loved his family and will be missed dearly by the staff and volunteers at Cedarcrest. Family members include; his father, Jeffrey G. Smith of Manchester; his mother, Joanne Stratoti of New Boston; his step mother, Christie Smith of Manchester; two sisters, Michelle “Chelly” Smith and Olivia “Livvy” Smith both of New Boston; his step sister, Alexandria Higgins of Manchester; half brother, Zachary Smith of Manchester; his paternal grandmother, Lois Smith of York, Maine; maternal grandparents, Ky and Augie Stratoti of Nashua; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. There will be a Memorial Reception of Saturday, April 30th from 9:00 until 10:00 AM with a Memorial Service at 10:00 at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street in Manchester.
