Edward J. Talbot, Sr., 87, of 437 Gold Street, Manchester, NH died April 12, 2004, at Maple Leaf Health Care Center. He was born October 24, 1916, in Brentwood, NH the son of the late Napoleon and Roseanna (Jolicoeur) Talbot and had been a resident of Manchester for most of his life. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was a W.W. II Army Veteran serving in the 172 Field Artelery Battalion and was a member of CWV Post 1749. Edward was a lifetime member of the Rimmon Club and was a member of the League of Sacred Heart of Ste. Marie Church. He worked as a cook for Habitant Soup with 25 years of service. Family members include his wife of 57 years, Claire (Masson) Talbot of Manchester, his son, Edward J. Talbot, Jr., of Merrimack, his daughter, Mrs. Yvon (Suzanne) Grenier of Manchester, six grandchildren, four great grandchildren, a brother, Raymond Talbot of Manchester, several nieces, nephews and cousins. IN HIS LIFE he had six grandchildren; Lise Drouin, Jackie Duhamel, Christopher Talbot, Scott Talbot, Craig Talbot and Mellisa Talbot, his daughter-in-law Donna Talbot. SERVICES: A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday morning at 10 o’clock in St. Theresa Church. Urn burial will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Monastery of the Precious Blood, 700 Bridge Street, Manchester, NH 03104. The Cremation Society of New Hampshire is in charge of arrangements.
