Elaine T. Couturier

Elaine T. Couturier, of Manchester, passed away peacefully on March 18, 2023 at the age of 83. Born on March 8, 1940, she is the beloved daughter of Philippe and Flora (Thibeault) Martineau.

Elaine was a devoted grandmother to her five grandchildren and one great grandchild, whom she loved more than anything in the world. She would often spend her time gardening, knitting, crocheting, sewing, and crafting special hand-made gifts for family and friends. Her love for the color turquoise, all things angels, and especially her acts of service will always be a hallmark of her identity. Elaine was also a beloved lunch lady at Central High School, dedicating over 26 years of her life to serving the students that she grew to know and love. Her kindness and ability to make everyone feel special and loved will be remembered for years to come. 

Elaine is survived by her children, David Couturier and his wife Paula, and Lisa Pavlopoulos and her husband Peter both of Manchester; her grandchildren, Natalie Couturier, Lori Couturier, Danielle Couturier, Christos Pavlopoulos, and Markos Pavlopoulos; her great grandchild Noah Torres; nephew Philippe Martineau; numerous cousins, and a large extended family.

She is predeceased by her parents, Philippe and Flora Martineau, her son Mark P. Couturier, and brother Roland G. Martineau.

A visitation will be held on Monday, March 27^th from 4-7pm at Phaneuf Funeral Home & Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street in Manchester. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, March 28^th at 10am in St. Anthony of Padua Church, 172 Belmont Street, Manchester. Committal service at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum, Manchester. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend.
