Elaine J. Emery

Elaine J. Emery, 81, of Haverhill, MA, passed away peacefully on July 1, 2018 at Beth Israel Hospital, Boston, surrounded by her family, after a prolonged illness.

Elaine was a devoted homemaker to all of her children. Once her children were grown, she went to work in a manufacturing industry until her retirement.

Spending time with her family was what she cherished most. In her spare time, she was an avid jig saw puzzle maker, crossword puzzle solver and a fan of country music throughout her life and especially after retirement into her golden years. She especially cherished an occasional trip to Foxwoods to play the slots.

She is survived by her loving children, Fabian Hodgerney and wife Lynn of Bedford, NH, Gary Hodgerney of Haverhill, MA, Danny Hodgerney and wife Pam of Salem, NH, Dale Hodgerney and wife Wanda of Haverhill, MA, Debbie (Emery) Bashaw and husband Donnie of Newbury, MA, Kim (Emery) Girardin of Amesbury, MA, and Donna Hodgerney of Haverhill, MA, who was Elaine's caretaker for many years in the comfort of her home; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends. Elaine was predeceased by her son, David Hodgerney.
