Janice Elaine (Blodgett) Sias

Elaine Sias, 90, passed away October 15, 2026, at the Lafayette Center Nursing Home in Franconia, NH. Though her passing leaves a deep void in the hearts of those who loved her, her family finds comfort in knowing she is now at peace back in the arms of her beloved husband, Arthur.

Elaine was born to Elmer and Vivian (Nelson) Blodgett on August 21, 1936, in Franconia, N.H. On October 7, 1954, she married the love of her life, Arthur Sias. They were devoted to one another for 47 years.

While raising her children and Arthur’s, Elaine found joy and cherished her family above all else. She also enjoyed family history and antiques, as the longtime owner of Neemo’s Nook Antiques & Collectibles in Whitefield. Elaine loved family gatherings, cooking and most of all, baking. Rare was the day when there wasn’t a fresh dessert available to family and guests alike.

Elaine is survived by her children, Jacki, Arthur Jr., George, and Stanley; sister Cynthia; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Arthur, and sisters Paula, Rusty, and Leah.

At Elaine’s request, there will be no calling hours or funeral service. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to:

Tri-County Community Action Program, Inc., Berlin, for Senior Meals program.
