Eleanor Carroll, 47, of Derry died October 27, 2004 at Parkland Medical Center following a brief bout with cancer. Mrs. Carroll was born on February 13, 1957 in Cambridge, MA the daughter of the late John and Dulcina Gavin. She granduated from St. Mary's High School in Cambridge and later attended Massasoit Community College in Avon, MA. Eleanor moved to Manchester 1990 with her husband and children and had been a Derry resident since 2000. For the past 17 years, she worked as A CNA in southern New Hampshire. She was an avid cribbage player and enjoyed tending to her flower gardens. Family members include; her husband of 23 years, Robert Carroll Sr.; one son, Dereck Carroll of Derrry; two daughters, Robin Arquette of Derry and Deborah Carroll of Quincy, MA; two stepsons, Christopher Carroll of Windsor, CT and Robert Carroll Jr.of Somerville, MA; four grandchildren; two brothers, John Gavin of Belmont, MA and George Gavin of Allenstown, NH; two sisters, Deborah Gavin of Somerville, MA and Maureen Frazier of Auburn, NH; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one daughter, Renee Carroll. There will be a Memorial Reception on Saturday, October 30th from 5:00 until 7:00 PM at Phaneuf Funeral Homes, 243 Hanover Street in Manchester.
