Eleanor V. Gilibert

Eleanor V. (Johnson) Gilibert, 81, of Manchester, died December 17, 2004 at Hanover Hill Health Care Center. She was born in Manchester on December 31, 1922, the daughter of Arthur and Gertrude (Wilson) Johnson and had been a lifelong resident of the City. She had worked for 33 years at Myrna Shoe Company and later at the Elliot Hospital in the housekeeping department. She was a past member of the Manchester Grange. She enjoyed baking and decorating cakes. Family members include two sons, Roland Foster of Belmont and Jean Gilibert of Manchester; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren; a brother, Charles F. Johnson of Deerfield; a sister, Shirley Johnson Cates of Manchester and several nephews, nieces and cousins. A memorial gathering will take place at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street on Tuesday morning from 9 to 10 AM. A memorial service followed by a candlelight ceremony will follow at 10:00 in the funeral home chapel. Urn burial will take place in Auburn Village Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Make A Wish Foundation of NH, 66 Hanover Street, Manchester, NH 03101 or to the Animal Rescue League of NH, 545 Route 101, Bedford, NH 03110.
