Eleanor S. Soucy, 88, of Manchester, NH, died on April 27, 2026 at Villa Crest Nursing & Retirement Center. Born in Manchester on February 4, 1938, she was a daughter of the late Philias and Anita (Lessard) Rousseau. She shared 53 years of marriage with her late husband, Raymond Soucy.

Eleanor was raised in Manchester and was a 1955 graduate of Manchester West High School. While raising her children, she worked in the cafeteria at Parkside Middle School. Later in life, she worked as a clerk in the Manchester City Library.

Eleanor and Raymond shared a wonderful retirement in Lakeland, Florida, and were also blessed to travel the world side by side. She loved playing cards and board games and had a special talent for crocheting and crafting. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt, Eleanor treasured time with her family, especially during their annual gatherings at the lake.

Eleanor is survived by her children, Denise Grant and her husband Gene, Mike Soucy, Bob Soucy and his wife Debbie, Jerry Soucy, and Diane Soucy; eleven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and extended family members. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her sister, Claire Manning.

Eleanor’s family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Elliot VNA Hospice and Evelyn, the nurse who so lovingly cared for their mom at Villa Crest, for their kindness and compassionate care.

Eleanor’s service will be held on Monday, May 4, 2026. Memorial Gathering will be held from 2-3PM with a Memorial Service at 3PM, at Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street, Manchester, NH.
