Elena Popielarz

Elena M. (Buccafusco) Popielarz, 56, of 70 Camelot Drive, Bedford, NH died August 4, 2003 at the Elliot Hospital in Manchester. She was born in Brooklyn, NY on January 20, 1947, the daughter of the late Ralph Buccafusco and Margaret (Figliuolo) Buccafusco of Milford. She grew up in New Bedford, MA and graduated from New Bedford High School. She resided for twenty years in Amherst, NH before moving to Bedford in 1989. She was the manager of Lamplighters of Amherst for several years. She specialized in interior design. She loved to cook and enjoyed arts and crafts. She was a parishioner of St. Elizabeth Seton Church, Bedford. Family members, in addition to her mother, include her husband of 37 years, Stanley Popielarz; a son, Anthony Popielarz of Manchester; a daughter, Marie Parisi of West Glocester, MA; two grandchildren; a brother, Robert Buccafusco of Perrysburg, OH; and several nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles and cousins. Calling hours will be at the Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street, Manchester on Tuesday from 4 to 8 PM. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday morning at 11:00 in St. Elizabeth Seton Church, Bedford. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bedford.
