Elfriede Lavertu, 80, of Bedford, NH died March 7, 2011 at the Laurel Center in Bedford following an illness.
She was born on July 31, 1930 in Germany. She was a lifelong resident of the Manchester area.
Mrs. Lavertu worked at Jewell Instruments in Manchester and retired from Kollsman in Merrimack.
She liked taking trips to the beach and an afternoon spent shopping. She truly enjoyed family gatherings and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Surviving family members include her 2 sons, Paul Lavertu of Manchester and Peter Lavertu of Manchester and her daughter, Patricia Leighton of North Las Vegas, Nevada.
In Her Life: She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren, Nathan, Kenneth, Michael and Amy.
Her Memorial Gathering will be held at the Phaneuf Funeral Home, 243 Hanover St, Manchester on Tuesday from 6 to 8PM with her Memorial Service to be held in the Funeral Home at 7:00PM.
