Elizabeth A. Stark

Elizabeth A. Stark, 79, of W. Brattleboro, VT passed away on Sunday, May 4, 2014 at Brattleboro Memorial Hospital in Brattleboro. She was born in Brattleboro on March 19, 1935, the daughter of the late Everett M. "Johnny" and Marrian (Davidson) Akley.

Elizabeth was a lifelong Brattleboro resident. She enjoyed flowers, crocheting, watching TV, spending time with her cat, Cali, and gardening. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is predeceased by her husband, Donald A. Stark in 2012, and two sisters.

She is survived by two sons, Randall L. Stark of NC and James E. Stark and his wife Ann of W. Brattleboro, VT; two daughters, Dawnette E. Rogers and Christina M. Houle both of NC; ten grandchildren, Dustin and Derek Stark, Donald M. Stark-Pinto, Danielle M. Gibson, Anthony M. Pinto, Nicole A. Houle, Michael J. Houle, Jessica A. Farquhar and her husband Joseph A., Brittney M. Stark, and Cassandra L. Stark; ten great grandchildren; best friend and cousin, Donna Bell and her husband David of Brattleboro; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Service will be held at a later date. The KER-WESTERLUND FUNERAL HOME, 57 High Street, Brattleboro is assisting the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Elizabeth's name to Visiting Nurse Association & Hospice of VT and NH, 66 Benning St., Suite 6, West Lebanon, NH 03784.
