Ella C. True

Ella Conners True, 78, of Center Barnstead, NH, passed away at Concord Hospital on July 8, 2022. Born in Hartford, CT on January 12, 1944, she was a daughter of the late Mark B. Conners Sr. and Mabel (Causey) Conners. Ella was raised in Canton, NY. She earned her bachelor's degree from Rochester Institute of Technology, which is also where she met her husband. 

In 1981, she and her family moved to New Hampshire. She was a long-time resident of Merrimack and worked as a paraprofessional in the Merrimack School District for 20 years until her retirement. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening and crafting, especially macrame and ceramics.

Ella is survived by her husband of 51 years, Edward B. True of Center Barnstead, NH; her daughter, Kathleen Vassallo of Center Barnstead, NH; her son, Edward Q. True and his wife Amy of Manchester, NH; her brother, Mark B. Conners Jr. and his wife Norma of Del Rio, TX; her sister, Agnes Cogoli and her husband John of West Hartford, CT; and her grandchildren, Edward T. True, Maxwell True, and Conner Vassallo. In addition to her parents, Ella was predeceased by her daughter, Laura True, and her son-in-law, Michael Vassallo.

Ella’s visitation will be held on Thursday, July 14, 2022 from 4-7pm at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street, Manchester, NH. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, July 15, 2022 at 10am at St. Pius X Parish, 575 Candia Road, Manchester, NH.
