Ellen R. Benoit

Ellen R. (Kent) Benoit, 72, of 15 Moreau Street, died June 12, 2004 at Catholic Medical Center. She was born in Manchester on March 3, 1932, the daughter of Floyd and Yvonne (Deslaurier) Kent and had lived many years in the City. She also resided in Gibsonton, FL for 22 years and moved back to Manchester last year. She was the widow of Leon Benoit who died in October 2003. She had worked at Shaw’s Supermarket in Derry for over 20 years until her retirement. She enjoyed cooking and baking. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her family. Family members include two sons, Michael Benoit of Hilton Head, SC and Bruce Benoit of Manchester; three daughters, Deborah Donahue of Manchester, Cynthia Anderson of Derry and Cathy Corcoran of Auburn; 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; a brother, Floyd Kent of Hooksett and several nephews, nieces and cousins. A memorial gathering will take place on Wednesday morning from 10 to 11 at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street with a memorial service to follow in the funeral home chapel at 11:00.
