Ellen (Neuberger) Hartofelis, 66, passed away on July 10th, 2026 at home in New Hampton.

She was born October 20th, 1959, in Huntington, NY to Patricia (Collins) Neuberger.

She grew up in Merrimack, NH, and attended Merrimack High School, being an avid member of the basketball and cheerleading teams. She later did coursework at New Hampshire College. She became a well respected Workers Compensation adjuster in the New England region.

She loved to spend her time in the garden, reading, and interior designing her home. In her later years she was a passionate artist, spending hours on different pieces of sculpture, paintings, and drawings. Her greatest joy in life was being a mother for 39 years to her three children she loved fiercely.

For those who knew Ellen, she will be remembered as the most generous spirit, to pour into your cup even when hers was empty. She had a gift to make all those around her feel welcomed and loved.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 26 years, Anthony Hartofelis; children, Michael Neuberger, Alexander Hartofelis, and Brianna Hartofelis; grandchildren, Dominick Torres and Aiden Dowden; sisters, Susan Weller, Kathleen Sad, Karen Crook, Barbara Whitefield, and Joan Warren; brother, Roy Neuberger; and many nieces and nephews. She will be deeply missed by all.

Visitation hours will be held Saturday, July 18th from 8:30-10:30 AM, followed by a service at 10:30 AM at Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 243 Hanover St, Manchester, NH 03104, with reception to follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations will be collected privately by the family to be contributed to a Charity of their choosing in Ellen’s memory.
