Ellen Alice Makara Wlodyka

Ellen Alice Makara Wlodyka passed away on November 16, 2022 at Elliot Hospital, Manchester, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Manchester, she was the daughter of the late John and Julia (Dabek) Makara. A lifelong resident of New Hampshire, Ellen was a graduate of Central High School, Class of 1953. She retired from her career at the American Red Cross as the Manager of Recruiting Services. She graciously volunteered her time and talents for the Elliot Hospital Gift Shop and the Manchester Senior Health Center.

Ellen is survived by her daughter, Pamela Hale and husband Brian of California; two grandsons, Daniel Hale and Eric Hale, both of Texas; her son, Jeffrey Wlodyka and wife Monica of Rhode Island; two nieces, one nephew, and extended family and friends. In addition to her parents and husband (Tadeusz), Ellen was predeceased by her sister, Viola Laughlin.

ARRANGEMENTS: Assisting the family with arrangements is the Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Manchester. Memorial service will be held on Friday, March 3 at 1:30PM at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street, Manchester. Interment at Pine Grove Cemetery, Brown Ave, Manchester, to follow. In lieu of flowers, charitable donations can be made in her memory to the American Red Cross or to a local Animal Humane Society.
