Elva H. Melim

Elva H. (Jubinville) Melim, 81, of 169 Tirrell Hill Road, Goffstown, died April 3, 2003 at Catholic Medical Center. She was born in Manchester on October 25, 1921, the daughter of Arthur and Blanch (Forest) Jubinville and had been a lifelong resident of Goffstown. She was educated in the Grassmere School System. She worked for many years in the kitchen at Notre Dame College and Bel Air Nursing Home. Prior to that, she had worked in the spinning room at Arms Textile where she was a supervisor. She was very talented at crocheting, needlework and painting and also loved to cook. She was an avid reader and had a vast collection of books. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Family members include her husband of 60 years, Joseph Melim; a son, Frank Melim of Goffstown; a daughter, Dianne Melim-Heffernan of Pittsfield; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren; two brothers, Gerald Jubinville of Goffstown and Ronald Jubinville of Kissimmee, FL and several nephews, nieces and cousins. A committal service will take place in the chapel at Mt. Calvary Cemetery on Tuesday afternoon at 1:00 PM. Inurnment will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery columbarium. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, PO Box 50, Memphis, TN 38101. The Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium is in charge of arrangements.
