Elzear E. Drouin

Elzear E. "Harry" Drouin, 80, of 16 Katherine Street, Goffstown, died January 9, 2004, at Catholic Medical Center. He was born in St. Bernard, Quebec, on September 7, 1923, the son of Osias and Yvonne (Gagnon) Drouin and resided in Manchester before moving to Goffstown 49 years ago. He was a WW II Army Veteran. He was a vocational rehab. Supervisor with the State of New Hampshire. Harry was a long time member of the Goffstown Fish and Game, was an avid hunter and enjoyed camping and reading. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Mr. Drouin was a parishioner of the Parish of Transfiguration, formerly St. Jean Church. Family members include his wife of 52 years, Gabrielle (Pratte) Drouin of Goffstown, three daughters; Mrs. Michael (Gisele) Rubino of Nashua, NH, Elise Drouin of Stoneham, Massachusetts and Gloria Drouin of Newmarket, NH, one grandson, two sisters; Madeleine Philippy of Goffstown, NH and Theresa Walsh of Illinois, several nieces, nephews and cousins. SERVICES: Relatives and friends may call at the Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street, Monday morning from 10 to 11:30 with his Mass of Christian Burial following at Noon in the Parish of Transfiguration. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Easter Seals, 555 Auburn Street, Manchester, NH 03103.
