Emilda M. Surette

Emilda M. Surette, 93, formerly of 560 Ray Street, died December 7, 2000, at Hanover Hill Nursing Home. She was born in New Edingburgh, Nova Scotia on March 10, 1907, the daughter of Sylvaire and Agnes (Doucet) Amirault and had resided 55 years in Chelsea, Ma. Emila moved to Manchester in 1988. She was the widow of Sam Surette who died in 1988. Family members include a son George B. Surette of Manchester, two grandchildren, a predeceased daughter Dorothy A. Hayes who died in 1994, a brother Benoit Amirault of New Edingburgh, Nova Scotia, several nieces, nephews and cousins. SERVICES: Calling hours are at the Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street, on Saturday morning from 9 to 9:30 o'clock with A Mass of Christian Burial immediately following at 10 o'clock in St. Catherine Church. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden Ma.
