Emile A. Grenier, 89, of 84 Varney Street, died December 27, 2003 at his residence. He was born in Quebec, Canada on April 27, 1913, the son of Absolon and Parmila (Morin) Grenier and had been a Manchester resident for the past 40 years. He had worked at Prevue Products for many years until his retirement. Prior to that, he had worked as a lumberjack while living in Canada. He loved maple sugaring. He was a parishioner of Ste. Marie Church. Family members include his wife of 68 years, Madeleine (Jiroux) Grenier; five sons, Majella Grenier of Canada, Paul Grenier of Goffstown, Fernand Grenier of Manchester, Eloy Grenier of Goffstown and Rosaire Grenier of Bedford; six daughters, Gertrude Begin of Manchester, Sr. Marie Rose Grenier of Canada, Sr. Paula Grenier of the Catholic Missions in Africa, Martine Lehoux of Manchester, Blandine Labbe and Mary Jane Gagnon, both of Hooksett; 24 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren; a sister, Jeanne D'Arc Rodrigue of Canada; and many nephews, nieces and cousins. SERVICES: Calling hours will be at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday morning at 12:00 in Ste. Marie Church. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the C.S.L.
