Emile Lionel “Joe” Mailhot, 80, died at home on July 29, 2024. Born in Dixville, Canada on November 16, 1943, he was a son of the late Leo and Louisa (Viens) Mailhot.

“Joe” was born and raised in Dixville, Canada and moved to the United States where he enlisted in the Army and went to Korea. After he returned from Korea, he went to work as a carpenter and siding contractor for many years. Later in life, he was a delivery truck driver until he retired.

“Joe”, also known to his friends and family as “Belvedere”, enjoyed the outdoors and going to the Lancaster Fair for many years. He was also a member of many social clubs throughout Manchester, where he lived for most of his life. “Joe” was known for his generosity and kindness, always willing to lend a hand. He always enjoyed spending time with family playing cards and games. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his brothers, Armand and Guy; his sisters, Adrienne, Rita and Adela; as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his siblings, Annette, Yolande, Robert, Ronald, Romeo, Reginald and Gene.

A Graveside Service will be held on September 9, 2024 at 11:00AM at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen, NH.
