Ernest "Bill" Roy

Ernest W. “Bill” Roy, 72, of Concord died Monday, May 30, 2022, following a lengthy period of declining health.

Bill was born in Berlin, NH October 31, 1949, to the late Ernest and Edith (Stewart) Roy. He was a graduate of Berlin High School and earned a bachelor’s degree from UNH. He enjoyed a long and rewarding career with the State of NH Department of Environmental Services and he was deeply involved with Concord Youth Hockey in the 70s and 80s. Bill also enjoyed playing golf in his spare time and spent many years as a volunteer with the SPCA in Concord.

Bill is survived by his loving wife, Jane (Maltais) Roy; sons, Payson Clay and Douglas Clay and his wife Gail; daughter, Michelle Sisk and her husband David; grandchildren Zackary, Madison and Maryn Sisk, and Hailey Clay; his sister, Bette Roberts; his dear friend, Charlie Hood; as well as his niece, Sharon Dion, and his nephew, Stephen Roberts.

Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service being held at 2:00pm Wednesday, June 8^th at Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 172 King Street in Boscawen. A graveside service will take place at 11:00am Tuesday, June 21, 2022, at Russian City Cemetery on East Milan Road in Berlin, NH.
