Ernest "Hap" Leathers, 70, of 51 Lingard Street, Manchester, died February 4, 2000, at Elliot Hospital after a brief illness. He was born in Manchester on March 26, 1929, the son of Lawrence and Alice (Hall) Leathers and had been a resident of Manchester for most of his life. He was an Air Force Veteran serving during the Korean Conflict. Hap was loved and will be missed by all. In his senior years he enjoyed his family, his grandkids, friends and flea markets. He was a car salesman for many years. Family members include his loving wife of 43 years, Anne (Rybczyk) Leathers of Manchester, his predeceased son, Clifford Leathers, four daughters, Darlene Gjelsteen of Olympia, WA., Debbie Pepper of Weare, NH, Donna Brasley of Manchester and Doreen Jacobs of Hooksett, nine grandchildren, three brothers, Bill Nelson of Manchester, Dick Leathers of Ft. Myers, FL and Bob Leathers of Manchester, several nieces, nephews and cousins. At. The request of Mr. Leathers there will be no wake and burial will be in the Spring.
