Ernest A. Milonas, 79, of 5 Pond Drive, died at his residence on March 24, 2009. He was born in Turners Falls, MA on March 12, 1930, the son of Apostolos and Merope (Kamberes) Milonas. He served for twenty years in the United States Air Force as a Master Sergeant, and was a Korean War Veteran. He also served with the Air National Guard. After his military career, he worked for Granite State Packing for twelve years and Grace Chemical in Nashua for twenty years, retiring in 1993. He was a lifelong member of St. George Greek Orthodox Church. He was predeceased by his former wife, Marceline J. Milonas, a daughter, Marilyn Gaudet and two sons, Charles Adams and William Adams. He loved tending his vegetable garden. He was a member of the Air Force Sergeant's Association, the Retired Enlisted Association, the NAUS, and the Airman Memorial Society. Family members include two sons, John Q. Adams of GA and David B. Adams of Manchester; three daughters, Tassia J. Roy and Marceline L. Milonas, both of Manchester and Judith A. Akins of FL; many grandchildren and several great grandchildren; a brother, Henry Milonas of Turners Falls, MA; a sister, Katherine Pappas of Manchester; and nephews, nieces and cousins. Calling hours will be at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street on Friday from 3 to 6 PM. Funeral services with military honors will be held in the funeral home chapel at 6:00 PM.
