Ernest E. Soule born May 21, 1947, passed away peacefully on January 10, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Ernie is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Sandra and daughters, Patricia M. Labrecque and her husband Michael of Bluffton, SC, and Janet L. Bouchard and her husband David of Gilford, NH. Ernie also left behind his greatest loves, his grandchildren; Michael E. Labrecque and his wife Leanna of Suffolk, VA, Matthew J. Labrecque and his wife Julia of Barnstead, NH, Kaylan P. Bouchard and her fiancé, Matthew Brimblecom of Laconia, NH, and Ryan M. Bouchard of Oak Grove, KY. Ernie was anxiously awaiting his first great grandson, Elliot Joseph. Ernie also left behind his dearest friend and brother-in-law Robert Lamontagne of Manchester, NH. Ernie is survived by his sister, Kathleen Olivier, numerous brothers- and sisters-in-law, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Charles and Pearl Soule and siblings Virginia Lamontagne and Charles Soule.
Ernie grew up in Candia, NH, and graduated from Manchester Memorial High School in 1965, then joined the United States Air Force where he honorably served until 1969. After serving his country Ernie worked as a diesel mechanic while owning his own business for many years. Ernie’s favorite role was being a father and grandfather. He never missed any activity his grandchildren participated in. He could be counted on to cheer them on during all of their activities. Ernie’s grandkids treasured the time he spent with them and will miss him immensely. Ernie was known for and will be remembered for his love and passion for anything with a motor. Ernie was gifted with the ability to fix anything and would be willing to help anyone in their time of need. Our hearts will forever be broken in his absence.
The family will receive visitors Wednesday, January 15th, 4:00-8:00pm at Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 172 King Street in Boscawen, NH. Committal service with military honors will take place at 11:00am Thursday, January 16th in the chapel at New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway in Boscawen. Flowers are welcome, but those who wish to make a memorial contribution may do so to Boston Shriners Children's hospital at www.shrinerschildrens.org.
